Recently some rumours have arrived that Cadbury is launching Vegan Milk Chocolate Bars.

Veganism

Veganism is a way of life where we exclude animal exploitation and cruelty, for food, clothing and other means. In the vegan lifestyle we even avoid dairy products and raw animals like fish, meat, chicken, etc. Different people have different reasons for adopting a vegan diet. Some of them are too conscious about ethics and environmental concerns while others seek to improve health.

Being Vegan has now become a trend of keeping yourself healthy and fit. Also, people have started to think about animals, the environment and nutritions. Now, we want to cut ourselves from animal exploitation, cruelty, environmental concerns and ethics. Vegan diet is a plant based diet where all the animal products are avoided. Even the dairy products like milk cheese, curd, ghee, butter, etc. are a “NO”. Vegan Diet not only helps with the waistline but also helps with controlling the blood sugar.

Vegan Food Industry

With the rise of awareness among people towards health, vegan diet, responsibility towards animals and environment, the market of the vegan industry has started to boom. The global vegan market was valued at 12.7 billion US dollars in 2018 and this is estimated to rise at a CAGR of 9.6% from 2019 to 2026.

Companies have to start to launch their vegan products. Major companies are Archer Daniels Midland Company; Amy's Kitchen; Beyond Meat; Daiya Foods, Inc.; Plamil Foods Ltd.; Tofutti Brands, Inc.; Danone S.A.; VBites Foods Ltd; VITASOY International Holdings Ltd.; and Eden Foods, Inc

Product innovation has become a must in today’s scenario. To gain competitive advantage and launch the product, having a monopoly is the best strategy. Dairy alternatives accounted more for more than 50% of the global revenue in 2018. Thus, having a dairy alternate is a great approach for the companies.
